The “Grand Canyon” was officially designated a national park on February 26, 1919, although the landmark had been known to Americans for more than thirty years. It is beyond comparison, beyond description and absolutely incomparable in the whole world. The Park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.

The common name for three waterfalls is Niagara Falls, which is located on both sides of the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York. The three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls, from largest to smallest. The Horseshoe Falls remains on the border of the United States and Canada with the American Falls altogether on the side of United States, divided by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also laid on the United States’ side and separated from the American Falls by Luna Island.
