The High-Line

The community gathered together to re-use the high-line instead, creating the park you see today for everyone to enjoy. Since then, it has been a global inspiration for cities to turn unused industrial zones into dynamic public spaces.
The High Line is a long green lane of more than 1.45 thousand with more than 500 species of plants and trees. The High-Line is an elevated linear park, greenway and railway trail created on an old branch of the New York Central Railroad, on the west side of Manhattan, New York. The park is maintained and operated by Friends of the High Line in collaboration with the New York Parks and Recreation Department. In addition to public spaces and gardens, High Line offers a wide range of public programs, community engagement, and adolescence, as well as world-class works of art and shows open and open to all. The design of the High Line is collaboration between the field operations of James Corner who is theproject manager, Diller Scofidio and Renfro and Piet Oudolf. The abandoned spur has been redesigned into a “living system” of many disciplines, including landscape architecture, urban design and ecology.

Canyon lands National Park

Canyonlands National Park is an American national park located in southeastern Utah near the city of Moab. The park retains a colorful landscape, transformed by the Colorado River, the Green River and its tributaries into countless canyons, mesas and buttes. The Park Creation Act was signed on September 12, 1964 by President Lyndon Johnson.
The park is divided into four districts: the island in the sky, the needles, the labyrinth and the combined rivers, the green and the colorado, which carved two large canyons in the Colorado plateau. While these areas share a primitive desert atmosphere, each maintains its own character.

Navy Pier

Navy pier is Chicago’s Lakefront Treasure; People’s Pier. Navy Pier is a non-profit corporation founded in 2011 to preserve Navy Pier and oversee the reconstructions of one of the most important municipal landmarks in the United States.
Navy Pier is a 3,300ft long pier on the Chicago coast line of Lake Michigan. It is situated in the Streeterville. At present, Navy Pier surrounds more than 50 acres of parks, family attractions and exhibition facilities, gardens, shops, restaurants and is one of the topmost destinations in the Middle East’s United States.

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market is a special community within Seattle city center and it is one of the oldest running public peasant markets in the United States. The market opened on August 17, 1907. More than the city’s favorite public market, Pike Place Market is the business places to hundreds of peasant’s craftspeople, small businesses, traders and the residents.
